Autumn, you make my heart melt…

Autumn for me is the best season, I just adore everything about it. The fresh crisp air, crunchy leaves on a frosty morning, spiced drinks and of course cozy evenings. It would be so wrong for me not share my Autumn passion with you so here’s 5 reasons why autumn makes my heart melt!

Let’s kick it this post off by reminding you it’s conker season! You just can’t beat a freshly fallen conker intact in its shell. A major childhood throwback here – we had a giant conker tree in my primary school and every break time we would rush outside and swoon over all the conkers, trying to find the shiniest one.

For some reason I pop on my baking hat and turn into Mary Berry in the autumn season. I like to pretend I’m an amazing baker who whips together some amazing seasonal treats, usually infused with some sort of spice-cinnamon. However I’m far from a baker, usually my delicious treats turn into a big so delicious mess. I’ll keep working on it…

Transitioning my wardrobe from summer to winter gives me the ultimate buzz. You just can’t beat a thick knit and cozy socks outfit combo. When it gets to mid September I get an itch to make room for my rather large hoard of jumpers. Yes I’m that girl that has them in colour order, easy access right?

Once I’ve transitioned my wardrobe, I like to cozy up in my jumper, fluffy socks and grab a blanket. I sit and watch all the trash on TV, maybe binge a Netflix series. You just can’t beat a bit of gilmour girls at this time of year.

Lastly, the word ‘Christmas’ becomes slightly more acceptable at this time of year. Bloggers get their blogmas hats on and festivities are a go! I’m already singing ‘the holidays are coming’ over and over in my head.

  1. This post makes me excited all over again for Autumn, even though it’s nearly over! I love all of the orange leaves scattered across the pavements and that day when the weather changes and you know that it’s time to pull out your chunky knit scarf and warmest coat!🍁

    1. Shame the rain has made the crunchy leaves mushy now. Saying that I can’t wait to pop on a bobble hat, chunky scarf and gloves and let winter begin. Here to winter! hope we get lots and lots of snow too ❄️
